Torrey Pines Golf Course, 11480 N Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla
Which golf player doesn’t know the famous U.S. open course along the cliffs at the northern city limits of San Diego? The green fees for the municipal course are expensive, but the challenging holes and the view are worth it. For more info about the two courses please refer to the golf club’s webpage: http://www.torreypinesgolfcourse.com/_tpgallery/index.html |
Coronado Golf Course, 2000 Visalia Row, Coronado
A great course doesn’t have to be expensive. This one is a real gem and bargain at once. A round is max. $35 per person, excluding a cart. The 18-hole course faces San Diego’s skyline from Coronado Island, Hotel Del Coronado and the bay. From the club restaurant’s patio you are overlooking the bay and San Diego skyline. A great place to relax in particular when you are hitting their daily happy hour from 3 - 6pm. http://www.golfcoronado.com/ |

The entrance to the state reserve is a bit hard to find and located close to the corner of North Torrey Pines Road and Torrey Pines Scenic Park. The entrance fee is around $10. Sunset Cliffs Beach Walk, 3.7 miles (almost 6 km) per direction, but you can shorten the way.
This hike is highly recommended around sunset and during the weekdays since it gets crowded on the other days. The hike is easy since you are walking along the cliffs, but you can make it more interesting/challenging by descending to the beach. You will find the entrance at Ocean Front St and Sunset Blvd. |
